what we collect

when you buy from us, we collect what we need to complete your order — your name, email address, shipping address, and payment details, which are handled securely by our payment processor; we never see or store your card numbers.

when you use the sell to us form, we collect the details you give us about your gear and how to reach you.

if you join our new-arrival alerts, we keep your email address.

how we use it

to process and ship your order, to respond to your enquiries, and — only if you asked for it — to send you automated new-arrival alerts. we never sell your details or share them for marketing by anyone else.

new-arrival alerts

alerts are sent by brevo and contain only new listings — nothing else, no hand-written newsletters. every alert includes a way to stop them: reply to the email and we remove you.

who sees your details

our payment processor and our shipping carriers, only as needed to complete your order. no one else.

cookies

our site runs on squarespace, which places cookies that are necessary for the site to work — remembering your cart, keeping checkout secure, and protecting against fraud. these necessary cookies are always used and cannot be switched off. we have switched off squarespace's analytics and performance cookies, and we do not display a cookie banner, so no analytics or marketing cookies are placed when you visit, and nothing here tracks you between visits or targets advertising at you. you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time, though the cart and checkout may then not work properly.

your data

ask us what we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it: gear@fotosan.us. we will answer within a reasonable time.
